Joshua Newbend - Contemporary Artist
My art revolves around working with space and form to generate new ideas and bring different perspectives into conversation, all without utilizing useless jargon.
Throughout many of my memories, there are instances of violence and hate that occur frequently. These events are a part of me now and shape the way my brain receives and processes different experiences. Due to the significant impact the abuse has had on the way I perceive the world, I feel it is necessary to not only address them but also explore them further. This will allow me to understand how the memories and events connect with the impact of the abuse and ideas in my art. I am exploring ways I can create art that is both representative and intriguing to the viewer as a whole.
